CNC1 - Boxed CNC Controller with 3 x 3.5A/phase stepper motor drives
* Boxed M401 CNC controller with 36 volts @ 10 Amp PSU
* Axis-jog buttons for the X, Y and Z axes and a digital-handwheel (for precise positioning of any axis)
* Rear mounted connectors for : stepper motors, limit-switches, spindle speed control, etc.
* 3 x 3.5A/phase (7A/motor) stepper motor drives suitable for 17, 23, 34 and 42 series stepper motors (full, half and micro-stepping modes)
* Provision to add a 4th 3.5A/phase stepper motor drive for 4 axis control.
* Integrated 250 Volt 10A relay for on/off control of a spindle or drive motor.
* Optically isolated variable analogue output for spindle motor speed control.
* EaziCNC 2 editing and 2D/3D-emulation software for Windows (2000, XP or Vista) included in price.
(You also use the older EaziCNC on Windows 98 or ME if required)
* Fully supported by optional EaziCAM 2½D & 3D software.
* RS232 serial connection. 2-metre serial cable provided.
* 110 or 240 volt operation (specify at time of order).
* Measures 300 mm. x 280 mm. x 100 mm.
* Supplied complete with EaziCNC 2 software, mains cable, serial cable and motor plugs.
Add 2 or 3 stepper motors (or, optionally, 4 motors!) and the machine chassis of your choice and you have a full CNC system. A datasheet is available at http://www.eaziform.co.uk/files/CNC2XInstall.pdf.
The copy of EaziCNC 2 (or EaziCNC if you need to run on an older computer) is fully licensed and for lathes and mills/routers. The software can be downloaded for evaluation from our web-site http://www.eaziform.co.uk/files/EaziCNC2Setup.exe.
This item really is plug-and-play... just 12 soldered connections are required to get a milling machine up and running (OK, 5 more connections to switch spindle on/off and control the spindle speed but, hey, we're talking simplicity here!).
Optional 4th axis (additional STEP1 card for stepper motor up to 3.5 A/phase) + £80.
The manuals for the M401 card and STEP1 card can be downloaded from our web-site, http://www.eaziform.co.uk/files/M401Install.pdf, http://www.eaziform.co.uk/files/CNCComps.pdf.
Features that this product offers that others often do NOT...
* Full simultaneous interpolation of 4-axes.
* Axis-following - you can set U to follow X, Y or Z - perfect for parallel drive machines.
* ISO G&M codes - an industry standard so you can use our or any 3rd party CADCAM.
* Jog-buttons - you would be surprised how useful these are - although maybe not if you tried some of the competition that don't have them?
* Electronic hand-wheel for fine positioning and feed-rate oveeride.
* Single- and multi-slot spindle sensor inputs for threading/tapping, etc.
* Hard-wired safety - a surprising number of parallel-port style controllers have no safety circuit at all!
* EaziCNC 2 software - again compare it to the competition. It is also included in the price - we write it ourselves, it is not 3rd party shareware and it is not feature limited.
* Self-contained - our controller includes the power supply for the stepper motors and it is built-in and not a seperate box.
* Serial port - no need to install a dodgy system level device driver! (Also works with most common USB-to-serial adaptors)
* Vista compatible software and hardware
