The PowerBLOCK-Module is a case concept which in itself provides sufficient pressure to the semiconductor element. In addition, defined isolation against the baseplate is provided. This simplifies the application of the modules significantly, as a complete rectifier for example may be constructed on a common heatsink. Due to the single sided cooling and the limits of the isolation voltage, possibilities of its application in the high power area are limited.
