(10) texet TX137 400V 5.0A n-chl power mosfet ~IRF730

Texet Semiconductor 450V, 5.0A, 75W, N-channel Power MOSFET, TO-220 - Quantity 10
Made in Taiwan. The TX137 specs similarly to the IRF730. The drain (output) side can handle up to 450V, and pass 5.0A. Total power dissipation (at the FET) is 75W. Makes a good switch for nixie switching power supplies. An IRF740 has lower ON resistance, at 0.55 ohms, but both the IRF730 and TX137 have lower input capacitance (and gate charge). Low input capacitance is important when switching at frequencies. Higher capacitance translates to lower reactance (impedance; AC resistance). That means you need a heftier circuit to drive the FET. Power FET makers gloss over this FACT, because at DC (0 Hz), the gate has a high impedance, which they like to tout.
Note: Specs have changed ! The link I had pointed to the TX136, which was an exact match to the IRF730. This one is still close, but the changed voltage is now 450V (was 400V). Max current is 5.0A (was 5.5A), and ON resistance is 1.1ohm (was 0.8 ohms).
