The KNK Sealant Patch is a 1-inch square of mastic sealant typically used by satellite installers when fastening dish mounts or mounting hardware to exterior surfaces. It acts as a water barrier (sealing out moisture) for any situation where you are attaching hardware or a fixture to an exterior surface (wall, roof etc). Typically the sealant is rolled up and inserted into a pre-drilled hole or mounted on the flat surface of the hardware prior to the item being screwed down.
• Similar properties to TBT20® mastic sealant (part of the Thomas & Betts Kold-N-Klose® Encapsulated Splice System) that has been widely used to prevent moisture entering aerial and buried splice closures for approx. 20 years by the Telecom industry.
