You've seen all the super neat projects using the popular PIC series of microcontrollers. Here's a really easy to use programmer to get you up and running fast! PICPRO is our new programmer for the PIC16C84, PIC16F84, and PIC16F83 microcontrollers made by Microchip, Inc.
These chips are three of the more popular PIC microcontrollers, whose special feature is that they use flash memory so no UV eraser is needed. They are also programmed by a serial data protocol, making the programmer circuit simple, easy to understand, and use.
What does all this mean to you? It's a breeze! The PICPRO software required to operate the programmer includes editor software, run software, assembler software, and programmer software. All of these, as well as updates, are available on the Ramsey Electronics website. PICPRO is based on NOPPP, a PIC programmer designed by Michael Covington, and featured in Electronics Now, September 1998. Includes the matching case and knob set and AC power supply.
