This item is a small 24 volt DC electric motor made by Globe Industries. It’s very high revs, spinning 24,000 RPM no load at 24 volts input. Torque rating is 1 ounce-inch, with a 2 ounce inch stall torque. RPM at rated load is 16,000 RPM. Rated current is 650 ma. This motor operates over a wide range of voltage. I have operated it on 6 volts and 12 volts. Rated voltage is 24-29 VDC. These motors are unused. They are marked as Globe PN B-3A-683, also standard Thomson PN 11A052.
The motor is 1 3/16†Dia. and its body is 1 5/8†long. The shaft extends 9/32†beyond the faceplate and has a nine-tooth 4 mm. Dia. gear attached (see picture). There are two threaded (4-40?) holes in the faceplate which could be used for mounting the motor. It has both screw and solder attachments for power connections. This is a heavy motor for its size – weighing in at 3.6 ounces.
