Harmonic drive servo motor cnc robot mill lathe

This assembly was the theta motor of a robot. It has a harmonic drive gear reducer on it. This is a special type of speed reducer that has almost no backlash in it. It is designed for precision positioning. The top of the unit is about eight inches diameter. The motor is rated at 90 volts D.C. and is around 3/4 horsepower. There is an encoder on the motor shaft with 1,200 counts per motor turn. This results in 120,000 counts per turn of the output shaft. The output shaft needs to have a bearing to support it, that was part of the robot and is not with the motor. Thnaks for looking.
