Tesla coil secondary green w/ spun aluminum toroid
You are looking at an 4 inch x 22 inch (approx.) Tesla Coil Secondary with a 3 inch x 12 inch spun aluminum toroid topload . It is wound on a 4 inch PVC form (4.2 Inch OD) and is about 900 turns of heavy, high temp #22 awg wire (HAPT). The wire color is bright green. It's coated with Dolph's AC-43Dolphs Home insulating varnish. It's approx 24 inches tall with the included insulator top load mount ( without the toroid ). Included are also both end caps. One custom external cap for the top and a sturdy 1/4 inch x 1 3/4 internal one for the bottom. Also included are (3) 1/4-20 nylon bolts to mount the base, one for the center mounting hole and two more for the holes you drill through the side wall when you have it in final position. Resonate frequency is approx 330 kHz.
If you make a primary from 0.25 inch coppper tubing with 0.25 inch spacing and a 15 nf capacitor you will be in tune at about turn 6 or 7. A word on end caps. I spend alot of time modifying the stock end caps to make your coil look its best ( not like a piece of plumbing, LOL). Send me a picture of your Tesla Coil ! ****@TeslaStuff.com
