Each diode is mounted in an industry standard 5.6mm package that can be collimated and focused to a BURNING LASER POINTER type BEAM as shown! All that is needed is the small glass or plastic lens from a cheap $2 LASER pointer. There are countless uses for a small compact HIGH POWER RED laser, such as HOLOGRAPHY, LASER LIGHT SHOWS, rapid prototyping, thermal PCB transfers, micro soldering, thermal platsetters, chip anieling, NDT equipment and more!
The diodes require around 200mA to run at a low voltage yet produce enough power to easily light a cigarette!
