The DC bus board provides the majority of components and all of the wiring needed for a 70 VDC power supply on a motion control system. It can be used with Gecko or similar DC motor drivers. It is fully sufficient for a 4 axis system with size 34 motors. The only external components required are a line voltage to a 48 VAC transformer and an electrolytic capacitor. The power supply was standard for Tormach but has become surplus due to a change in design.
Standard operating procedure for most hobby motion control systems involves a power supply made of a discrete bridge rectifier and a maze of wires, often with questionable connections, and without overvoltage protection for the drives. This board offers a neat, clean installation with direction connection points for each driver.
* 35 Amp bridge rectifier with heat sink
* Internal power resistor for safe capacitor discharge
* LED for bus voltage indication
* Connections for external bus voltage LED with voltage drop resistor
